I only gave a star to leave a review. My son made an appointment & was told one price but was then over charged & the cut was horrible. Being a barber myself in California the cut was definitely not worth the price he was charged. One side was faded more than the other, his line was not straight & the cut just looked like a rush job. Take care of the customer & not take advantage. He will not be getting cut here ever again. It’s sad, one barber can make the whole shop look bad. Don’t waste your money at this place especially if you’re from out of town. This is the second shop he has tried & both times he was not satisfied. Be a barber & not just a person that cuts hair.

Lavar and Renee always get me right. I've been going to get my hair cut by Lavar for almost 5 years now and the service is great. He takes his time and really values whoever's in his chair. Whenever I go into the shop, it's not just a simple thing of paying for a haircut and then leaving. It also feels like you're going in to chill for a minute, talk, laugh, and listen to some good music. Renee does a great job with doing my hair. Normally, I like to get my curly hair braided and she makes it look amazing every time. The vibes in Jazz Kuts & Stylz are always cool and I appreciate both Lavar and Renee for always looking out. I personally recommend this barbershop to anyone.

Best barbershop for anyone living in Richmond! I’ve been a customer since 2021 and I’ve never left unsatisfied with my cut. Barbers are always welcoming & friendly, keep the shop looking neat, and they charge fairly. Definitely come through Jazz Kutz if you need a clean cut!

This business is the best most authentic place to get your hair cut. At a competitive $30 you will receive a clean fade and maybe a compliment or two. The staff is responsible and understand the customers needs. These are professional barbers. Their is usually a rush on the weekends so make sure to call ahead to schedule an appointment. If you are a student in the Richmond area this is one the best if not the best place to get your hair cut. They also offer hair styling services but those are exclusively by appointment only.
