I’m so happy with my hair each time I come here! It’s literally the neatest job I’ve ever had and I’ve been doing braids around NY and CT for years. The service is 10/10, I’m always asked if I’m okay and if I need any refreshments/snack. The stylist named Jele did my hair and she’s so nice and respectful and very neat! The salon also reassure me if I’m happy with my hair mid styling, and have no issues fixing any problem there may be. Definitely will always be a returning client!

Not a luxury experience as advertised. They way overcharged me, used dirty combs and gel on me, the wash and blow dry wasn’t even worth it. I paid 350 dollars to get ring worm on my scalp from disrespectful and mocking women. I didn’t want to be bitter but this is genuinely unforgivable and sad. As an African, I expect better from my people….

This was my third visit and I always have a pleasant time at the salon. My first style was Boho Knotless Braids and then I got a custom braided style - Fulani Braids w/ Beads - last summer in 2025. The stylists are so kind and professional and I love that I am always in and out within a decent time frame. Thiara started on me at 9:30 and I was finished right a 2:00pm - and that was with a 30min lunch break. She was quick and my looks beautiful; truly professional!

It’s rare to find a braider that does not shame me for having 4C afro hair. At Jamilah Beauty Studio— I felt taken care of, relaxed, respected and beautiful! The braids turned out amazing and I’m so happy with the results of them!! Also they did a wonderful job shampoo & blow drying. Did not rip my hair out or pull at it. Cannot say enough good things about the shop and its staff. They perfected the style that I had showed them before we began. Will be back!! This is the new spot for me. <3 Thank you ladies.

By far the best braiding place I've ever been to! Its so hard finding a good place to get your hair braided, and not only that, they also offer great hospitality, and offer you snacks and drinks while getting your hair done! My stylist was Astou and she was able to give me exactly what I asked for in a timely manner and handled my hair with good care. Can't wait to go back!
