I had the most amazing experience here at Jacks of all Fades. I was running late to my first date and they attended me right away. they served me a shot and gave me the best fade ive ever gotten. the guys are really amazing, chill, and very attentative to all my needs. Best barber shop ive ever been to so far
I wish i could get my hair cut here every time! But unfortunately I am only here for a weeks meeting on business Due to lack of time before travelling, I didn't get the chance to get done in the UK I think this was my best barber shop experience ever (and that's quite a long time for me!) Hair cut Eyebrows trimmed Back of neck shaved Hot towel on head And all very nicely done If I come back to visit New York, I'll make sure I'm due for a barbers visit
Asked the barber to only thin the top and not cut length. He agrees and says he is going to use special scissors. Before I can stop him he cuts 1.5 in off the front and doesn’t thin. When I asked he said this was thinning I said I don’t want length and he then said he had to even it out. Also doesn’t know how to blend a fade.
The barber though nice didn’t listen and gave me the worst haircut I’ve had in years. I asked for the hair not to be cut short and he used a machine (not scissors) and basically took all the natural structure out of my hair which is not what I asked for. if you have wavy to curly hair I do not recommend going here, but other than that I would say you could find a decent cut here if they understand your hair type. Now to wear hats for three - four weeks while my hair grows back out.
If I can leave no stars I would, Being a barber myself I gotta say this is probably the worst experiences I ever gotten. the barber Nathan was very unprofessional tried to get me out of the chair in 15 minutes and kept trying to push me to buy the products they sell. The cut was choppy and quick the beard lines were completely off absolutely no attention to detail what so ever. Definitely wont be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone.
