Had a wedding to get to at noon, so I showed up right when the doors opened. They had me in and out in under an hour with the best haircut I’ve ever had. Huge thank you to Jacas Barbers for the great service.
Don't walk in. I’m giving Jacas four stars because the quality is good and it’s conveniently local, but the experience is declining. It’s basically "reservation only" at this point—if you try to walk in, expect a massive wait. When you ask for an ETA, they just act like it's not their problem because the barbers work for themselves. I’d still recommend it for the hair cut, just make sure you book online first.
Barbershop Review I recently visited this barbershop, and at first it looked promising. The place was full, which to me is usually a good sign that people appreciate the service. However, my experience didn’t fully match that expectation. When I walked in, no one really approached me or welcomed me; I was simply told to put my name in the book. I wasn’t asked any questions about my preferences or what I was looking for. I ended up waiting almost 40 minutes. I understand that walk-ins can take longer, especially when a place is busy, so that part is understandable. Still, I feel that establishments like this could offer a bit more hospitality—something as simple as water or coffee can go a long way in making guests feel more valued. As for the haircut itself, it came out very well, and th
Amazing cuts, frustrating wait system Jacas has some of the best barbers around — the cuts are always on point. But the wait system really needs improvement. Too often, there are customers sitting for long periods while barbers stand around waiting for their next appointment instead of taking walk-ins. As a business owner myself, the solution seems straightforward: if there are 10 barbers working, have 5 dedicated to appointments and 5 dedicated to walk-ins. That would keep the line moving and make better use of everyone’s time. ESPECIALLY on the holiday weekend! I genuinely like the barbers and their work, but until they fix how they balance appointments and walk-ins, the wait is tough to deal with.
I felt unwelcome from the moment my son and I entered the barber shop. I was charged $30 instead of $20 for the haircut for a supposed line up that didn't happen. Then the audacity of the barber to only have his tip set to 25 percent or higher. I had to fix my son's line at the house and blend his hair myself. Waste of $38. Save your money and go somewhere else or choose the right barber at the shop. This was the Moss Park location.
