I had my first appointment with Casey (the owner) and spent around $800 — for that price, I expected movie-star hair, not uneven color and a haircut that needed fixing. I went back to correct it and was charged another $300–$400 for problems they created. Then came a $200 cancellation fee for an appointment I never even got a confirmation for. I just moved from Dallas, and even top salons there don’t charge this much — and this is Ann Arbor, not L.A.! If you like overpriced surprises and salon drama, this is your place. If you value your money and your hair, run! 💇‍♀️💨

Danielle was super helpful. My husband asked about the AVEDA products they had in store looking for a specific product. He purchased the wrong item and when he went to return it later in the day he caught Danielle on her way out of the door after closing up the shop. Just as he was about to walk away after realizing they were closed she recognized him and insisted on reopening to let him return the product. It was so kind and nice of her to go out of her way like that for us.

I went to see Annie about adding soft long layers to my hair. I’ve attached the inspo pic for reference, and pictures of the cut I received. When I went home and washed it, it dried into a more shag inspired cut. There’s a big difference between what I requested and the choppy cut I got. It’s a hard haircut to disguise and my confidence has taken a blow. I spoke to Annie over the phone, and at my mention of the cut being a shag she accused me of further cutting it once I had gotten home and told me she felt I was gaslighting her. This was within the first two minutes of our call and was really jarring. I offered to send her a photo to show what I was talking about but she refused, stating she’d only look in person. I arrived late to my appointment, feeling a bit frazzled, but Camille immediately put me at ease by embracing my chaos. I’m really pleased with how she gave my previously lifeless hair new body and volume. The services are quite expensive - similar to what I’ve paid in other large cities (New York, Boston, and San Francisco), but it is an expense I’ll happily pay for happy hair. In total, a haircut, styling cream, & 25% tip was $165.

I really enjoyed meeting my stylist Jennifer, however my experience was way below standard. My appointment started 40 minutes late as she took a last minute client right before me. I drove an hour for this appointment and was really excited since I hadn’t had my hair done in over a year. I asked for curtain bangs and layers to bring more movement into my grown out bob. I left with a trim and some face framing. It wasn’t even close to what I asked for, and somehow felt rushed while also taking almost 2 hours. The cut and conditioning treatment cost $150 but the service itself was like going to super cuts.
