Island Hair Braiding, Weaving and Extensions

This place used to be reasonable. Went in today. This lady quoted me 70.00 for a simple braid down without hair. Then settled on 60 like she was helping me. Price gouging at it finest. I wont be going back.

Kumbas salon is top tier, I got my braids done yesterday and I had to go to work..came in around 10am left on time for work! The braiders there are fast and professional ! I've been going here for years. These are regular small sized box braids. I don't know my braiders name but THANK YOU 🙏🏾

By far the BEST hair salon I’ve ever been to! The staff are all super friendly, kind, and welcoming. The entire experience is comfortable and relaxed—so different from other salons I’ve visited. The hairstylist I saw today worked quickly but with such precision. She nailed the look I was going for effortlessly and made the whole process feel easy. What really stands out is how much they care about customer satisfaction. On the rare occasion I had an issue in the past, they were quick to address it and make it right. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

They do not clean/sanitize their equipment, spreading dandruff from one person to another. They use the same towel on more than ten customers. They use the same hair dryer to blow people that washed their hair and customers that just took their hair out after not washing it for months. The dirtiest salon I have been to. Definitely not going back

I highly recommend this braiding shop! From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming and professional. I went to Island Hair Braiding for boho braids, and they did not disappoint. While the price is a bit on the higher side, the quality and service made it well worth it. The owner is wonderful and really tries to work with you. The braider who did my hair was fantastic—she had two other girls helping her, which made the process super quick. I was in and out in no time. I’ll definitely be coming back in the near future. Everyone loves my hair! Thank you all—you were amazing
