I was contemplating writing this review but please know that it is out of good intention and to raise awareness and not to bash the salon itself. The people were nice and made you feel welcome. I just wasn’t happy with the service I got. I booked for a wash, treatment, trim and blow dry. I called the salon before I got there asked if I could get a wash and go instead of a blow dry because I wanted to wear my curls out. The lady that I spoke with on the phone assured me they could do it. I’ll start with the treatment first. The stylist gave me a hydration treatment under the steamer but the steamer only ran for 3 minutes. The remainder of the time I was under the steamer was about 10 minutes but nothing was happening. It was like it turned off too soon. I’m used to being steamed consistent

I want to first start off by saying Although I got my hair cut by Shea in February I’m so glad i waited a few months to calm down and go about this a different way and give a real review. Here we are 2 months later, i have taken out my braids bc of how bad my silk press was and my hair is severely damaged either by heat or by a relaxer etc. I don’t know what was put in my hair; I don’t trust them nor did she say anything about what was being done to my hair besides a complimentary hair mask. My experience at this shop was suspect. When I walked in the shop everyone was okay but the other co owner was rude and snarky. I normally am quiet and I observe and while I was doing so I became distracted by conversations about trips etc. with Shea which is the first mistake to make as a new client.

Always great service from Shea. I have psoriasis and Shea make me feel like I'm in a safe place for hair care.

I'll start by saying that the salon was clean and pleasant and I found the hair stylist to be professional in her demeanor. I chose this salon because of the great reviews. That was the positive. My appointment was for hair coloring and at my age, hair is at a premium so I can't afford to lose any! Unfortunately, the dye was left on my hair for an hour+ (I watched the clock), while another client's hair was being curled. At around 45 minutes of the dye being in my hair, I mentioned to the stylist that I didn't want my hair to fall out. She told me that it stopped processing after 30 minutes so I came close to washing the dye out myself. I wish I had because since that day, parts of my hair have continued to break off and fall out even after washing, conditioning and trimming the extremely

Had an amazing experience with LaShea. She washed, steamed, trimmed and flat ironed her hair with care and talked to her about proper maintenance. Excellent!
