Be aware if you purchased their service through Groupon. I bought their service through Groupon for hair cut and single process color. Booked the appointment online and got informed I had to go to their 320 E14st location. The salon is messy and sketchy. I didn’t mind it because the hairdresser Lana was nice. In the middle of the service I was informed that I couldn’t use the Groupon that I purchased ($61) and I must pay full price ($150). The hair color came out ok (it wasn’t evenly colored, I can still see the root darker than the rest of hair). The haircut is definitely not up to the standard. I came to hair salon expecting to treat myself not punish myself. Highly not recommend!!!

I 100% urge you - especially all of you blondes - GO SEE DORIS! I recently moved to the area + had walked past ISalon a few times. I then saw it on Groupon so quickly took advantage of the great offer. The holidays were approaching, + of course Doris was pretty busy. I was anxious to get an appt as I’m flying out for a wedding in 4 days. Doris went above + beyond to accommodate, landing an appt for me on New Year’s Eve. The salon was clean, super cute, the decor is gorgeous + the music was fab. And, I was met with New Year’s Celebration red wine! Yas please! The end result is a perfect blonde, it’s exactly what I wanted, + I’m so happy. Groupon or no Groupon, I’m so thrilled I found Doris (who happens to also be the most sweetest gal on the LES), + I’m now a committed ISalon chick. I found

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE! Words cannot describe how terrible my experience has been at this salon. I went in to get a color and cut-I am a brunette and I wanted to go lighter. Doris explained that she would have to strip the color from my hair then lighten. She did so and after she lightened it it was SO brassy. I had wanted a light brown color, something similar to my natural color but understand that we probably wouldn't be able to get that light in one session. Boy, if you could see the color I came out with!! Red-toned, brassy brown on the bottom and light light blonde on my roots. I also paid extra for styling and the waves came out an hour later! My hair looked so fried and dead afterward. I came home and my boyfriend was shocked by how terrible my hair looked. Right then and

Doris did an amazing job with my hair! Highly recommend! Not only she got the cut done exactly how I wanted it, but she also did an amazing job with my blonde highlights and color! You can tell she is experienced and very efficient! She did it all for record time while I usually spend hours at other salons to get the results! I needed a new hair dresser in the area and so happy I found her - I will definitely be going back there on a regular basis!

Worst “trim” and blow out my child has had (Oct 7 vs Feb 15). Travel to Ecko unisex on Madison Street if you got time because all gentrification did here was cost me $65 for a $40 service.
