Hudson & Fouquet Salon - Annapolis

I'm always nervous with haircuts because I feel like I can never explain what I'm looking for and I end up with a so-so haircut. So, I booked Jamel because I wanted someone experienced enough that they can intuit what a client needs and offer suggestions. Instead of telling him what haircut I wanted, we talked about my lifestyle and how to fit my haircut to that. He listened, asked questions about my goals and needs, and told me what he was going to do to create that. It was worth the additional cost to have the guidance and confidence. On top of that, he is a lovely person. I'm in the middle of the first picture and my hair is one long, bland length that was dragging down my face and weighing down my hair. After taking a too long questionaire to find a stylist match, I read through the profiles of the matches it found and there was only 1 person with the qualities I wanted, so I booked an appointment. The next day, I get a call from the salon saying that they wanted me to pick someone else because the stylist I picked does not do short hair. 😡 First, that wasn't in the bio I read and second, this call was based solely on the inspiration picture THEY asked for. I have shoulder length hair. I didn't know what I wanted, I wanted to figure that out with a SUPPOSED expert. Needless to say, I said no thanks and asked for a refund. If you don't know exactly what you want, don't go to this salon. What a horrible experience.

I've been a client for 6 or 7 years now (maybe more?) and have never been disappointed. This salon is very professional and I think their prices reflect that, so if you are looking for high quality services I feel their prices are fair. I only go about every 6 mos or so for a partial balayage and haircut. My balayage and haircut last that long because my stylist does such a great job. Emily H. is my stylist in the Annapolis location. I would highly recommend her and this salon especially if you are looking to color your hair. Parking can be a little tricky at the Annapolis location since it is downtown on West St., but there is a parking garage very close by that I would recommend, especially if you go on a weekend.

Harley is an amazing "Curly Girl" stylist! She is a great listener and is kind, professional and knowledgeable! I'm always happy with her work!

Lizzy has been doing my hair since before H&F and it gets better and better every single time. I’ve never been one to make my next appointment right away due to work travel and lack of flexibility however that’s changing and I intend to make a standing appointment. My daughter has very curly hair and she does an amazing job with hers as well.
