It has all the bones for an exceptional school because it goes beyond the call of duty to be inclusive of all people regardless of former history and set backs ....it only needs more security, more Teacher training included in its program to create a skilled and highly professional teaching staff and better vetting for those working there .... Location is not always feeling secure but the facility has all it needs to build more prosperous school ...new renovations , more informed and holistic spiritually minded and medically sound teachers about healing and not corporate greed or going along with what is except able or popular but what works and heala nd supports the human being evolving into a more sound and generous and purpose being using multiple healing arts and tools with sound medic

Stopped by for the first time to get an acupressure massage. I was so instantly relieved and at peace. Not only did my student learner confirm my suspicions about where I am tense, but she also provided so much valuable information about how to better educate myself on my own body and what stretches and other massage types would be beneficial. I’m so excited to come back again.

With a light heart, I wouldn’t have given HMTI the one star that you see here. I mean no disrespect to any of the facilitators or instructors there but my brief experience there was less than mediocre. 1st: Before I moved to Maryland I did some online research into Massage Therapy schools as an out-of-state Licensed Masssge Therapist myself. The introduction and the scheduling of calls with the director was lacking. She didn’t seem to care to talk about what I was trying to accomplish so that I could attain the hours I needed to bridge the gap per Maryland Standard. Several time I followed up with her regarding administrative tasks for my admission, and everytime she would tell me that she was “getting to it”. Wow very interesting and decent prices! Very honest place no hanky panky (if you know what I mean) . Also they don't allow tipping (it's some Maryland law?). Parking can be tricky.

I'm rating the school 2 starts because of how disorganized the booking experience has been. I've been to the student location 3 times now. The second time was in response to an email about a specific type of massage. After I arrived to the school, I was told it would be a different type of massage but they did give me a discount so it was fine. It took a few minutes to sort out what was happening at the front desk. It didn't seem like the folks at the front desk, or one of the clinic teachers, knew what was happening with the email. I also went for a massage today and arrived on time. As I came in the front desk woman told me that the student had cancelled about 10 minutes prior due to an emergency. It was such a waste of time and gas money to come out to the school. I should have been c
