I first saw Nissa for festival braids and was immediately impressed by her skill and creativity. The braids were beautifully done and held up perfectly, even through long days and dancing. More recently, I booked a cut and color with her—and even after just one session, I knew I’d be coming back. My hair is fine and blonde, which can be tricky to work with, but Nissa clearly knows how to handle it. She knew what I needed before I even sat in her chair, she offered thoughtful suggestions, and delivered a tone and shape that felt fresh, flattering, and easy to maintain. Socks is an amazing hair dresser. I had the best experience getting my hair cut for a wedding. They were able to give amazing recommendations and really knew exactly what to do with my hair. (which I did not) I highly recommend getting your hair cut with Socks.

I see Maisie every time I visit Portland! The salon space is lovely and everyone there displays an upbeat kindness. I always feel confident in the respect and care with which my body is treated. I feel beautiful after my waxing appointments! Maisie is highly skilled and her technique and "bedside" manner gives me the best wax experience I have ever had!

I went here for my birthday and I absolutely loved the people there! Especially Nissa! I have curly hair and she knew exactly how to help me with it. 💜 10/10 love the aesthetic of the place too.
