I was really pleased with my experience at Hello Sugar. This was my first time at this location, and the atmosphere felt very welcoming right away. Hello Sugar is reception-less, but as soon as I walked in I was greeted by my esti, Alexus, and another team member, which immediately put me at ease. I was actually running a bit late for my appointment and was worried I’d have to reschedule, but they were kind enough to still see me, which I really appreciated. I had a Brazilian sugar. They say it hurts less, and it absolutely does, though I’ll be honest, it still hurts (just setting expectations for anyone reading!). If I could give Rinita 10 stars... I would. She not only has an amazing personality but her wax technique made the experience that much better! It wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be seeing that I haven’t had a Brazilian wax in a few months. Rinita was patient and kind! Because of her, Hello Sugar has a new loyal customer! Please stop lying on these Google reviews! I AM WARNING YOU NOW: DO NOT COME HERE! I hadn't visited a Hello Sugar in a while, so when they texted me, I couldn't wait to try out a location I didn't even know existed near an area I frequent. I rushed in, trying to make sure I was on time, paid for parking and everything. Only to sit there for 25 minutes in the lobby. 25 whole minutes. During this time, I was not acknowledged or anything. Towards the end, another aesthetician came out and asked if I had checked it. I informed her I had, and she told me someone would be with me soon. At this point, I'm super annoyed. My daughter talked me into having a brazillan wax job done and I said Hell No !! At first and then i pulled down my big girl panties and had it done for the first time and the experience was amazing!! The lady really took her time to explain all the details from beginning to end and made me feel very comfortable, as I am a big baby on issues down below. At first I said NO to coming back , but I’m never shaving again and she gain a forever customer. Her bedside manner was an A++++. I’m glad I went and had it done! Great experience ever. I attempted to call ahead, but there was no direct line and all calls went to voicemail. I was assisted by Michele, and the interaction felt unprofessional and uncomfortable, especially after traveling from DC. I returned the following day and was waxed by Rinita. While she explained the process, she discussed STIs and other conditions during my Brazilian wax, which was poorly timed and inappropriate for an intimate service.
