Hector The Barber

I started going to Hector around November 2024 and stopped toward the end of 2025. I want to be fair here cause he’s a genuinely a friendly guy, and when he’s focused, he can give a good cut. My first haircut with him was sweet, which is why I kept going back. But over time the consistency just wasn’t there (and I was a big tipper, like $10-$15 always). After a few visits it felt like he got too comfortable. He was sometimes on his phone or distracted, and the attention to detail dropped. There were multiple cuts I wasn’t happy with, and one time he cut off WAY more than I asked for. Several different encounters like this. Hector was an incredible and most blessed barber I know. I found him because my roommate told me about him and I 100% recommend it! I thought it was inside of a store but it’s inside of a bus so it feels more comfortable. It’s open to many topics of conversations, food, culture, so it’s such a vibe. He enjoys talking about anything! Very old school feel with a modern look! My haircut was incredible for such a reasonable price!!!

I found this shop inside of a bus expecting to be a brick and mortar. To my surprise it is a custom made barbershop inside of a bus. He parks near campus, so it is accessible. He is not the best, he is just blessed. I like the haircuts here and I think the wait is worth it.

Hector is an excellent barber located next to the village at USC. He is a great conversationalist and has a very fair deal considering his skills. Highly recommend him!

Hector did a great job with my hair, he was very kind, and in a great spot right across from the fire station by USC. He did a middle part for me which turned out great and I definitely recommend him to anyone because of his expertise, location, and experience.
