Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

There’s a $15 up- charge for a deep tissue which I’ve never heard any place do. Had $35 left on a gift card and was told that it can be used toward the tip. Would be nice if they asked about using some of that money towards a future massage but I probably wouldn’t have since a non member rate is expensive.

It was a really uncomfortable experience for me. I know what to expect from a professional deep tissue massage, and wasn’t even close. No relaxing music, NO music at all, unnecessary noises, she hit my head twice with the cream bottle, always that she was walking around she was hitting the bed with her body, her phone was NOT in silent mode, no deep tissue massage technique were performed, I told her to focus on my back, she spent less than 10 min there, and when I was facing up and I opened my eyes she was doing weird movements with her body like a ritual, she was stopping and going like she was in a trance and at the point I was scared, confused, and uncomfortable. I was very disappointed today with my experience at Hand & Stone Spa at the Lake Nona location. I had another engagement before my massage appointment and decided to call and move my appointment time. My original appointment was at 11:00am and I called them at 9:42am to see if it was possible to move it. I was told it was not possible because the massage therapist was fully booked. I asked to move the appointment with any available massage therapist, but I was told everyone was fully booked. The lady on the phone explained to me that although I wanted to reschedule they were going to charge me a cancellation fee, I told her I did not wish to cancel my appointment I just wanted to move it to another time on the same day. I get a massage every two weeks at this location. The membership is great. The place is always clean and the employees are very friendly, They treat you like family. My therapist, Jessica, has been there for 10 years and gives the best massage every time. Marcus

So fist time having a massage in almost 12 years and fist timers ever having a facial. Let’s start with the massage. I had mine at 6pm and Wendy was my massage therapist, she was very sweet and me being a little nervous she seems to calm me down about the whole process. She asked me questions about my stressful areas and where I hold the most tension. During the process I can honestly say that she paid attention to every stressful spot on my body even places I didn’t know tension was being held. I Hidden for very smooth and soft and she was very gentle and strong in areas that she needed to be, if that makes sense.
