Anna, the manager, was incredible. There was a slight mix up with my appointment and she handled it professionally and kindly. Great customer service & incredible massage. Definitely going back.

I meant to post a review a few months ago as my massage was in January but I am finally getting to it now. I had a therapist that reeked of cigarette smoke and I asked for firm pressure and did not receive that at all. I even paid additional money for a deep tissue massage and this was far from it. The massage lasted about 45 minutes even though it was supposed to be an hour. I was upset to the point of tears about this because I am a working mom of a two year old and I rarely ever take time out for myself. This was a complete utter waste of time. Do not get a massage here. There are plenty of other places in Haymarket that will do a way better job. I only went here because I got a gift card for Christmas. The visit was hasty. The 1 hr Facial turned out to be only a 40 min session. Out of this time, 5 minutes were spent in the evaluation of Skin characteristics. Therefore the exact clinical time spent on the Facial was only 30 to 35 minutes. The aesthetician skills were average. The facial massage skills were average. Then after finishing, at check out and payment time, there was a surprise. They padded an extra charge, which I had not consented to and I was not made aware of at anytime. Upon request to explain this charge, the ‘check-out staff’ was dismissive. On a positive note, and to be complimentary, the aesthetician was courteous and polite and the premises and treatment areas were clean and hygienic. Therefore, overall, I give only an average or Neutral rating to this facility. (

If you’re looking for headaches and mediocre service, this is your spot. The front office was one of the most ineffectual office experiences I have had. When I finally decided to cancel my membership, it took me two weeks, 5 calls, and a round of incorrect information to finally be sent the form to cancel (which you cannot get unless they send it to you). In the meantime, my account was charged for an additional month and I was informed my account will be charged yet again for a second month. While the terms of the membership do have a 30-day lead time with one additional charge, they charged for another month- because their back office did not answer calls, provided incorrect information, and delayed cancellation by two weeks. What a great birthday surprise! My husband scheduled a couples massage for us today. The experience was amazing! The ladies at the front desk were kind and very helpful. Our massage therapists were wonderful as well. My therapist was very communicative before and throughout the massage. He asked what I wanted from the massage and confirmed what pressure I liked. My husband enjoyed his massage so much he fell asleep for a brief moment! I highly recommend this Hand & Stone location to anyone looking for a relaxing and friendly experience.
