Hair Studio One - Amsterdam, NY

My barber in Johnstown moved back to saratoga and left me, yet again, looking for a good haircut. Albany/saratoga is a bit of a drive during the week so I tried HS1 again. Alexia took me in as a walk in. Cut my hair did a good job. I tipped $20 on a $20 dollar hair cut. I scheduled an appointment and it was canceled, rescheduled and show up 5 mins early. Sit down and wait and I can clearly see she's too busy to take my appointment. So I tell the other girl. I guess you can cut it. Comes out terrible tipped her $10 on a $20 H/C. Set another appointment before a get together and funeral I have this weekend. Call and cancel on me again! Guess I'll just start looking again!

A friend of mine booked a haircut with Kaitlyn. She has been to her before and made a point to book on Friday as she knew Kaitlyn didn’t work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. My friend was treated very badly and was truly upset. Kaitlyn was there and never spoke to her. Another lady cut her hair after Kaitlyn said to use a number 4 so, obviously, Kaitlyn remembered her. Common courtesy would expect kinder treatment. I would have spoken up and left immediately but my friend is very timid and now is feeling embarrassed. Haircuts are importantly but so is customer kindness. She and I will ever be back.

I asked for an asymmetrical bob with layers to blend the hair together. This is what I got. Choppy garbage. It looks all well and good while it's perfectly styled. No matter who I see when I go my hair looks like garbage. This is the worst it has ever been. I won't be back. Go back to school ladies.

My son got a haircut and this might be the worst haircut he has ever gotten. He gets made fun of 24/7 and has cried himself to sleep because it is so bad. Never again am I coming here.
