Hair 911

Clean cut! Good lineup. I wanted the taper a little lower, and the barber was cool about it, didnt take offense, and lowered it. I will definitely be returning. Prices are the going rate in LB. I saw alot of kids, so i assume it is good for kids. Not every barber can handle kids, but this shop had a few in there. The television programming was on sports which was good because i do have kids, and i dont want them watching inappropriate tv.

Walk-ins welcome, about 6 people working at this busy shop. There was lots of sports related conversations. If you like that kind of atmosphere, it's good for you. I just wanted my hair cut well, and I think it was too much talking for my taste. The guys would interrupt their work to talk with each other and that doesn't translate to a good cut or service, especially when they charge the same price as everybody else, and nothing differentiates them.

I only went once, but this is my new salon! Joanna is the best. My hair press lasted the longest it ever had from other salons. Even after washes I could still feel the difference. You can tell that Joanna really cares for your hair's health. The place is not huge, but not small either. It felt like home. Everyone is so down to earth and nice. Can't wait for my next appointment!

Been 3 times to 911. Never once have I had a good haircut. First two times my haircuts were mediocre, 3rd time the barber completely messed my hair up. I asked for a fade and he did it all one length. I don't mind paying 25$ for a haircut if it's a good cut and a good barber. But these guys give $2 cuts and charge $25. Not worth it.

I have been going here for over 8 years now, and Joanna has always done my hair every time, saving me from destruction lol. She has seen me through my wedding day hair, and hair styles in between as I brought my four girls into the world. I love this hair shop, and have traveled far to go there, from when I lived all the way in Orange county, to Downey. You cant find a person that loves your hair as much as Joanna does. Not only is every hair style wonderful, she never over charges me: the price is always right. Thank you Joanna for 8+ years of wonderful service, and all the ladies in there who work just as hard, and for always welcoming people with smiles and great hospitality.
