I was referred to Gretchen by a friend, and after a short console, I knew that she would be An invaluable resource to both myself and my husband. When you’re in the midst of labour there is something that is just so anchoring about having a Doula like Gretchen there with you. She not only provided me with reassurance, but she also assisted my husband and helped interpret what I needed to the medical professionals that were with us. There were times when I was unable to articulate what it was exactly that I needed or I didn’t understand what the medical professionals wanted from me and she broke things down and made it very clear.
