Surf City Barber Shop

Glenn is very talented at what he does and setting up an appointment is easy. Gotten a few haircuts now and they’ve all been great. Shop itself has a great vibe and is in a convenient location. Will be coming back as long as I am in Santa Cruz!

I had an amazing experience here, not only was Glenn super nice and friendly he supported that energy with a lovely environment and great music. I had a failed DIY experience and he managed to not only save my hair but make it look beyond great not only that but my parking meter had a 30 minute limit so this guy runs across the street mid haircut to fill it up now that’s some service right there SUPER GREAT HAIRCUT FOR A GREAT PRICE

Glen is absolutely outstanding! Communication to set up an appointment was a breeze. He is appointments only so that nobody feels rushed which is great. Shop is right in downtown with a nice cozy vibe to it. He was ready right at my appointment time and what a craftsman Glen is! I walked in with a mop on my head and came out looking real sharp with a haircut and beard trim. After a string of lackluster barber experiences elsewhere in Santa Cruz I'm so glad to have found Surf City. I'll definitely be back! Update: came back for a second cut and the experience was just as an outstanding the second time. Don't bother going anywhere else!

He stayed late on a Friday to get me in as I was going to be out of town for a few weeks. First time there but wont be my last. It was a like a salon cut! The whole treatment. Hands down, one of the best haircuts of my life. Glen is a true professional!

Owner/operator is a skilled professional, gives excellent haircut, price is reasonable. Also a kind and thoughtful person - always leave feeling better than when I arrived. Would give more stars if I could. Best to make an appointment - the schedule book is usually full.
