Great Clips

Beside the high cost of haircuts, which have gone up everywhere due to many reasons, the place is good. Straightforward, no-frills haircut. Styled if you want. Everything extra cost extra, like everywhere else. Used to get a full service haircut in Tulsa for $8 in 2003, now the same costs around $45. Anyways, good cut, good conversation, good people. App works properly. Not complaints that anyone can actually fix.

Took my autistic son there today to get his haircut. He was excited and looking forward to it. As always I informed the stylist about his autism and sensory needs. She audibly sighed as soon as she heard the word autism!! She was incredibly rude to my son, who was on his best behavior. I could be a little more understanding if he was moving around or acting out, but he wasn’t. She told him to sit back in the chair. When he didn’t comply immediately she became even more rude and demanded “you need to sit back”. My son didn’t understand what she was asking, and after her rude demeanor he was becoming more distressed. He asked “what do mean”, and she became even more rude. There was no way I was going to let her take scissors to his hair. After her last demand I told my son we were leaving.

Took my daughter last summer for a haircut and the lady taking care of her tried to convince me that she had dead lice (it was obviously dandruff) and that her hair was turning green from not washing it enough after swimming (it was real hair dye that had faded after a few weeks). So I gave it a year and took my son last month who got another stylist who told him, “I cant believe you had to sit there and listen to your mom hum to the music while you were waiting.” Incredibly rude and ignorant on both counts. I’d give the staff negative stars if I could.
