Great Clips

This is the SECOND Great Clips location that I have encountered that has closed early without any explanation as to why. I checked in online to make sure I would be able to get in, and had no warning they would be closed. I will not be going to Great Clips again.

Rachel cut my thin fine hair so perfectly!! She was so sweet the entire time! I honestly loved the experience and would absolutely come back! Edit to add: I had cut my hair at home and she was fixing it, which I imagine is harder than a regular cut. Its been a week and I still love it!! (though I wish I had gone shorter with the bangs, but she offered! So not on her, she was fabulous!) They also started to get slammed while I was there but the stylist made sure to not make me feel rushed.

Liz is hands down the best stylist I've ever had in my life. Most people have no idea how to approach my curly hair (including at expensive curl-specific places) and I either end up looking like a mop or a permed grandma (which is lovely but not remotely my age!). Liz makes my hair trendy, fun, stylish—not to mention healthy and easy to style at home—; she listens to my ideas and either flawlessly executes them or tells me ahead of time if they won't work well with my hair, and offers other options until we find one I love. She's an absolute gem of a person, a wiz of a hairdresser, and I hope she can style my hair forever!

Sierra listens with genuine care and translates requests into flawless results. While the salon may be a no frills kind of joint, Sierra herself is a hidden gem. Her talent elevates the entire experience, and she delivers a cut and style that surpasses mediocracy. She is a testament to the idea that exceptional artistry can be found in unexpected places.

I had a disappointing experience at Great Clips recently. I asked for a few inches off and to clean up my split ends, but the stylist didn’t check to make sure my hair was even and never let me see the back of it. The result was a very blunt cut that looks awful. She should ask more questions before cutting because not everyone knows the specific lingo to describe what they want. What made the experience worse was how unprofessional the environment felt. The employees were openly complaining about how many customers they had and were counting down the time until closing. I understand work can be stressful, but it made me feel so awkward—like I shouldn’t even be there. One employee even said, “Well, at least we’ll make our quota,” which felt incredibly rude.
