Golden Standard Barber Shop

I have curly textured hair and had been struggling to find a good barber since moving to the Portage area. Frederick gave me a scissor cut on top with a clean drop fade, and was by far my best experience in years. His shop has a professional and uplifting environment, and his positive conversation made it feel like I was talking to a friend I’ve known for years. He’s someone who brings out the best in people. Highly recommend Frederick.

This was probably the best haircut experience that I have been a part of. My 2 boys really enjoyed the atmosphere and the cut. How personable friderick was is unmatched. I really respected the authentic communication. Truly builds trust. We will be going back!

Great experience!! Fredrick is a master barber and is overall an incredible human. He has very throughly considered every aspect of the customers experience and is thoughtful and considerate. Could not be any happier with the beard trim I got today. Feel amazing about it and feel even better about how good of a guy Fredrick is. From the time you walk in the door he makes it feel like home and you can truly tell he loves what he does phenomenal job would rather 10/5 if I could if you need a haircut or beardtrim in kzoo def come his way!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just got my haircut by Frederick and it was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had. Super nice guy, very welcoming, and the whole environment was positive from start to finish. He actually listened to what I wanted, gave great advice, and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. The haircut came out perfect.
