Hubby followed Wendy over after she closed her shop when the landlord wanted everyone on one end of his shopping center OUT to make room for the first 85°C Bakery in Houston. (Now, there are several in the Houston area.) Wendy has been all over Asia and can speak Cantonese, Mandarin, some Vietnamese and I think, Thai. She also speaks our parents' southern China village dialect, Hoisan! She's always smiling and joking, making it a pleasure to see her. Wendy is also near one of my favorite Chinese bakeries, I Ping, so we usually pop in there on the way out to pick up my favorite, pork sung buns!
