Gloss Nailspa

Oooooooof. I have been going to Gloss in Silver Lake for the past few months for Gel X extensions. The first two times were great. This last time..... the bonder/builder material was not cured all the way and RIPPED MY NAILS OFF after 3.5 weeks. Photos below .

I have been coming to this nail salon for over 5 years. Their work is good depending on the nail tech. Although, their prices are confusing. They say a certain price over the phone then charge a complete different price when you get there. They never give an accurate price. I came in today for a gel pedicure. Justifying what services I wanted, the host told me they’d call my name shortly. It took 5 minutes. Once I was seated, the lady said she didn’t know how to do those services for me ? Confused but okay. The lady said about a 15 minute wait time. 15 minutes go by so I go to the host. The host states they wouldn’t be able to help until 30 minutes. At this point they were messing with my time. Did not like that.

After two sets of REGULAR GEL not Gelx or extension I BEGGED to have no drill used on my nails. 5 times i asked and she continued to pick up the drill when I wasn’t looking. My nails are now paper thin and have been cracking for weeks. I’ll never go back.

I went into this experience so excited for my self care day before a big trip. This was my first time at Gloss and was referred by two friends who go there. My appointment was for 10am. I received a text to confirm my appointment at 9:30am that morning and I let them know I was on my way and they responded back with a heart. The disappointment started when I got there. I arrived at 10:02am. I checked in via the sign in sheet and sat down as the receptionist was on the phone. There were 2 people who came in after me (one appointment - gel mani/pedi and one walk in -gel manicure) they checked in physically with the receptionist so I walked up and let her know I had signed the check in sheet and she said “yes hard gel manicure and pedicure correct?” I said “yes that’s correct” she said have

i came in today at 3pm and got a gel x manicure with red cat eye! they came out exactly how i wanted them! it was obviously a busy day but i txted the number around 11am this morning and made an appointment. it was so easy! they seem to have a good system on getting people in and out! i waited for about 5 mins before being seated to get started. super happy with the results, will be back!
