Get Faded Barbershop

I’ve gotten my hair cut by Pinks twice now while visiting Santa Cruz, and she’s absolutely fantastic. The first time she gave me a clean skin fade that came out perfect, and I came back today for a full trim — once again, she nailed it. She’s skilled, attentive, and really knows how to deliver the look you’re going for. Whether you’re just in town for a bit or you’re local to the area, I’d definitely recommend booking with her.

My wife and I both go to Get Faded Barbershop and we can’t recommend it enough. I usually see Pinks, and my wife sees Andreas—both are incredibly talented and genuinely great people. We're all about the super artistic designs and creative detail work, and both Pink and Andreas totally deliver. I go to Pinks whenever I have a special event coming up. She's absolutely amazing and always gives me something that makes me feel sharp and unique. My wife gets an ohm symbol in her hair from Andreas, which he’s perfected over time—it’s honestly impressive every single time. On top of the hair designs, they both handle our eyebrows and do slits too, which just adds that extra detail we Love. This place has major good vibes, creative energy, and barbers we’re proud to support. Highly recommend them

I’m really disappointed with this experience. I came in with long hair and asked only for a small refresh – to shorten it by max 0.5 inch, add light texture with regular scissors and even it out. Instead, he started cutting my hair dry, with sea salt spray still in it, without washing it first. Because of that, he obviously cut way more than I wanted. He was cutting while I was facing away from the mirror, so I couldn’t even see what he was doing. I also don’t think he added any proper texture at all. After that, he asked if I wanted styling. He put sea salt and wanted to use paste – but when I ran my fingers through my hair, my hand was covered in freshly cut hair. I asked if he was really planning to style my hair without washing it first. His answer: “Yeah, I don’t have a towel.” S

I would not go here unless you want a very specific short haircut. I have been twice and been unhappy both times. First time they cut it way shorter than the picture. Second time I came with multiple pictures and was explicit about what I wanted. It was cut comically short (my girlfriend was waiting and made immediate unprompted jokes as soon as I walked out the door). It’s almost like what I tried to communicate got completely forgotten once spoken. Waited a while to post this review, but my overly short hair finally grew enough to cut again, and new place did a great job, making me wish I didn’t go here the first few times.
