George does an amazing job. Great haircut, excellent beard trim, and a delight to talk to. He's been cutting hair downtown since 1996. An institution of lower Manhattan! Highly recommend.

This was first time going to George’s and it was fantastic. I got a great haircut and George is a really nice guy to talk to and be with. He knows how to make anyone looks good and I highly recommend him. Next time I need a haircut I’ll definitely go back.

George charged me $33 for a 15 minute haircut. I have short hair and asked for a simple cut, taking down the back and sides and not much off the top, expected it to be $20 as listed on their sign. He told me the higher price is because he blended it, so I accepted it at the time. But when I got home to inspect closely, the back and sides look no different than any straighforward cut, where edges are shorter than the rest. Even worse, it's uneven with the right side of my hair sticking out more than the left side - others noticed immediately when I got home. I regret going here.

I’ve often walked by George’s Barber shop but tonight I really needed a trim and I didn’t have time to go uptown, so I stopped in and asked for a haircut for a lady - George took me in even though he is primarily a barber, and trimmed and straightened my hair perfectly! He doesn’t do layering but for what I needed he was great!! I love his store - he’s been there 22 years! I highly recommend for expertise, friendliness and service!

Great haircut, great people. I've been coming to George and Irina for over 20 years and always get a perfect cut. More importantly my wife thinks they're the best haircuts I've ever gotten.
