Gem City Barbers

I took my two year-old autistics on there for the first time and they were amazing to say the least. They were very understanding and patient of my son’s needs and made us feel both very welcomed. LAVON POPE was our barber and he was very kind. Even through Mrs. Rachel on the TV and was singing along with my son to make him feel happy and safe. Will definitely be making this our Shop from now on. Thank you for every barber in there for making my boy feel safe and welcomed.

The summer of 2025, I went to see Bre at GemCity Barbers to get a special cut. My hair is very short. I told her about my mother who passed away August of 2024. She loved butterflies and we both share purple as our favorite color. I shared a photo of a butterfly that I wanted shaved in the back. At the end of the session, she handed me the mirror to take a look at her artwork. I immediately broke down in tears. It was beautiful and had been colored purple. She did that as a surprise for me. It was a beautiful thing.

Shout-out to Ben, I remember him grinding to get his haircuts in when Fortis would have their barber showcase nights at certain BayHawks games. And to be in his chair at Gem City is a full-circle moment...

My son has been going to Bri for years now. The shop is always clean and the vibe is always good and everyone is always so inviting. Their work is amazing, 10/10 definitely recommend!

My son got his haircut by someone at a different shop. Let’s just say he got chopped. I had to get his haircut fixed! There was no way I could send him to school on Monday looking like that. Lavon at Gem City Barbers came through! He went above and beyond to make my son comfortable and to make him look 100% better! I cannot express my gratitude to him and the shop!
