If you appreciate relaxing with no noise and very little or no light, and you'd like to experience floating effortlessly in salt water in a safe, controlled environment, FLOAT Annapolis is a great go-to place to experience this. My fiancé and I booked a one hour session. The attendant greeted us, showed us to our respective rooms (we each had a private room), and clearly explained what to expect and how to prepare for entering the float chamber. Each float chamber, which is where you will float, is in the private room that is equipped with a shower, towels, soaps, and optional ear plugs and buoyant neck pillow. The water in the safe float chamber is warm with enough salt to support floating. During the one hour session, time seemed to pass quickly. Afterwards, my fiancé and I felt very re
I was so excited for my first float, but it was sub-par. The spa was closed when I pulled up, which was concerning. I waited and the staff opened up just for me, I assume. Upon entering, I noticed the eyesore of a massage chair - not a good first impression. The water cooler was empty and seemed to be unplugged. Floors were a bit dirty, too. The chamber door has scratches or chips all over it. The soak itself was fine and relaxing for the most part until I started to get cold. I guess the water is not heated through the float time? It did feel like I was in a large black trash bag. Feeling the plastic and pipes as you float was a bit unnerving. I was freezing once I stepped out. The shower took forever to get warm and the water pressure was low. Then I realized that the shower faucet
60 minutes float was a wonderful experience. I had been given a styrofoam U-shaped float for my head, and therefore forgot to put in my ear plugs. The float was a bit uncomfortable but I knew if I didn't use it I'd get solution in my ears. I made a feeble effort to get out to retrieve the plugs, but decided to stay put. The water felt wonderful. I think I dozed off shortly before the music let me know time was up. They have shampoo and a hair dryer, but I did bring my own conditioner and comb. Jenny was very kind and pleasant. I enjoyed the sensory deprivation and look forward to going back.
I came here with my wife who is 30 weeks pregnant and had a very relaxing time! We were greeted promptly and kindly at reception and led to our reserved areas. We were given the details of the experience and enjoyed it so much. We did the 90 minute session which we both felt was a tad too long for us. Next time we will opt for 60 min session!
The Float Annapolis is a spa with a real relaxing vibe!! I recommend if you haven't tried tub salt float in a seal fridge like room with darkness a must. I floated away in deep thoughts as my body relaxed and stress just disappear!! Love it and will do it again. FYI 25% off on your next visit if you schedule there!!!
