Five Star Barber Shop

It is very rare that I have to give such a low review but here it goes. When it comes to fades I’ll give it to them. It is clean. However, I specifically asked to clean up yet take very little off the top in order to maintain the length and flow of my hair. I’m growing it out for my wedding in two months but I graduate tomorrow so I needed to freshen up. The result: barber proceeds to chop off more than an inch and on top of that, shave my cowlick off. The back of my head is sticking up like I’m a peacock. Granted I didn’t even notice the worst of it until I got home but now that I see it, I can’t ignore it. It was a vibe but there is no excuse to mess up like this.

Would 100% recommend this barbershop to anyone. I had a wedding in Newport and Gary was able to get me in last second for an appointment. I was not expecting much, but Gary gave me one of the best cuts I have gotten in the last couple years. Super chill guy who was easy to work with, especially since I am not good at explaining what I want. 10/10 value on this cut, might drive the hour and a half back for my next cut.

Gary does an amazing job with my son's hair. And my son absolutely loves going to him. He has been taking care of son's hair needs for years and would go nowhere else.

Solid place to get your hair cut. Went in for a low taper today and the barber did a great job. Great attention to detail and good atmosphere. It was my second time going there and both times they gave me a great haircut. Definetely would recommend. I've been to other barber shops in Middletown and Newport and I've had the best experience here out of all the places I've been to.
