I am absolutely thrilled with my son’s recent haircut. Mike D. Nailed it, he did such an awesome job, and my son looks fantastic- I’m super happy with the results, and honestly, the whole shop just oozes that cool, undeniable East Village vibe. James has been cutting my hair for years at this point, and I've never left unsatisfied with the cut. He's receptive to any changes I've asked for and is both professional and easy to talk to. The barbershop itself has an awesome atmosphere and it's in a great location in West Hartford. Highly recommend!

I've bounced between a few barbers in town over the last few years - none have ever been bad, however I just never really saw much of a difference between them. Then a few days ago I tried Fifth State and had my hair cut by Mike - and it was a great experience. I'll definitely be returning, and highly recommend the shop, and Mike, to anyone looking for a new barber.

Mike Dubbs is the best barber in CT — he literally does a perfect cut each time. Literally will never go anywhere else!!!

I schedule my appointments with Barber Mike!!!! He is super cool!!!! The barber shop is super clean, the razors are super nice and fancy, and Barber Mike is such a cool guy!!!! They are very good at staying on time, it’s easy to set up an appointment online, and they’re very good at following safety precautions during the pandemic! Overall, I would rate it an 11/10.
