Just got my first haircut with James & can not say enough good things about him. From the second I walked in I felt his energy and immediately I knew I was in good hands. He is a master of his craft with the experience and knowledge to back it up. I've never had someone explain to me what they would be doing before even touching a hair. I showed him a picture, we discussed the idea, and he gave his recommendations to fitting it on my big ol' head. He made me feel like a new person. Heck, I look like a new person! Fawn Hair Studio is my go to spot. I've been getting haircuts from James for years now and he's the only barber that I swear by. After years of switching barbershops and being a walk in customer to many barbershops I finally found a barber who knows what hairstyles will look good on me. James doesn't just ask you what number you want on the sides. He understands hairstyles and how they will look on you based on your style and head shape. He can even tell you when you got your last haircut just by looking at your hair! James is the most precise barber I have ever met. This is a new spot in Costa Mesa that is owned by a barber I have used and loved for years, and recommended to all friends and family. James is a stud when it comes to men's cuts. He's a legit barber, meticulous in his craft, and expects nothing but perfection from himself when he cuts my hair. There's no revolving door $5/5-minute cuts here, so if that's what you need, this won't be the shop for you. That being said, I've had $60+ cuts before at "high end" barbers that didn't even come close to what James does. His pricing is very competitive for what you get. I highly suggest giving this studio a try. Call and make an appt, (walk-ins aren't really a thing here from what I've seen).
