I have mixed feelings. We arrived on Indigenous Peoples’ Day—Google Maps showed the salon open, but it wasn’t. Evelyn was gracious and came out to take our appointment, which I appreciated (we waited about an hour). The shampoo was truly great—thorough and my scalp felt very clean afterward. The disconnect was the styling. I booked a “wash & blowout,” and as a Dominican with 3a/b hair, that usually means brush work and a flat iron finish. Here it was a basic blow-dry with a nozzle attachment, no brush/flat iron, and the service ended once the hair was dry. Total was $55; my usual salon charges about $50 for wash, brush blowout, and flat iron. I love Evelyn, Flo grew my hair, and Mel sure does know how to cut hair. I love The whole staff. Once you come back you won’t leave. My friends started coming too.

My wife (and I) loves her haircut. She is extremely picky about hair salons so it's good to FINALLY have found a place and stylist (Mrs. Evelyn) she loves. She's looking forward to her next visit.

Listen, Mrs. Evelyn definitely gave me the silk press of my life. I haven’t had a silk press to last past a day without curling back up. I went on Saturday and it’s Tuesday and it still looks good!

My hair dresser is Ms Andrea. I’ve been going to her for almost 8 years!! Even when I moved to Davenport 3 years ago, I still drive 1hr 30 min for her to do my hair. She is Awesome!!! My hair grows with her hands.
