I'm sorry but the food is a joke, old and cold. Asked for chicharron, i was given 7 pieces of 90% fat and very little almost non existent meat. Same with the other plates, 80% rice 20% meat. Tostones were the only dish that was fresh and hot. No wonder why this place is always empty 🥴

Good food. They had only a small amount left of carne guisada on the hot line and when I asked for more they got it from the back but they charged me extra… portions may vary and portions are not consistent. Flavor is good

Pernil was bomb, rice was flavorful. Yuka was a little bland but the purple onions make up for it. Chicken was fall off the bone. We did order chicharron we had to wait for it (so I didn’t get a pic) but it wasn’t my favorite I like the skin to be more crunchy personally. (But I wasn’t going to take a whole star away because of that)

I got two plate for $35. The portions are small to begin with and I know that but for one, instead of giving me a full portion of meat to fill both small sides, she gave me vegatables in one side. I asked for vegetables but I thought she was going to put it where the rice is like most people would think. WHY would I ANYONE pay $17 for small scoop portion of meat like this (picture attached) and the rest being carbs. I asked for more meat and she gave me more sauce. It was the short girl. Other reviews say the same thing about her. She needs to fired because you’re definitely losing customers over her.

El Primo restaurant is one of our new favorite lunch spots...food is ready and her with multiple options-- like 4 options of rice..many meat options... the boiled yucca is a must it's so good... I also love the sweet plantain. For dessert the flan is my fav but multiple options also available. Like $20 for a huge plate with rice, 2 meats and yucca/plantain with a flan and 2 waters. Totally splittable.
