El Manchego Restaurant

I went to the restaurant this past Saturday and we had a great time but just now we realized that we were charged for tax twice, one is included on the price of the food we ordered and the other is with the total as usually. Example, the bread’s cost is .70 (this is the first time in my life that I have to pay for the bread all restaurants offer the customers as a courtesy) in the breakdown they have 2 x Pan= 1.45, if the price of the bread is 70cents the total price should have been 1.40. And that happens with all the plates we ordered. It’s a shame that something like this happened. I will never return to this place.

The paella 🥘, wow! Manchego cheese tapa was delicious. Nice sangria too! Dessert? Crema de catalana was yummy 😋!

Great food we also had the marisco paella. We lived in Miami for over 15 years and never I have experienced the stares we got from the patrons. Yes my husband is not of Spanish descent but I am. The restaurant is intimate and cozy not many tables and was not busy on a Sunday evening. We were greeted by the host and was given a choice where to sit. The server mentioned that bread would be brought out, we waited and waited. Another server came and asked if we were ready to order but I mentioned we hadn’t received our bread, we got it but without butter after a while we had to ask for it. Now you may be asking why such petty comments….hold on I’ll explain. There were 3 servers in total with a party of about 10 for a birthday party. But we felt like unless we had food coming to the table then

Wow….. El Manchego Restaurant is a hidden gem in miami. Every dish I had tonight was made with love💞 Super yummy, I had a great time here with my boyfriend. Highly recommend and will def come back!! The owner is very welcoming and the waiter is very helpful and friendly as well. 💙🧡great place for after Miami FC game

Saw a review and it is indeed a little hidden gem in Miami off FIU. Great wine list (ask for the wines off menu). Great food, had the seafood Paella with the lobster addition. Off the charts. Come here, and you won’t be disappointed. Met the charismatic owner Tomas who was very attentive to all details and share a glass of the wine he was having with our table. Came for lunch, but can imagine on a Saturday night that have a Flamenco show must be lots of fun.
