El Fogon del Quijote

We've tried various paella dishes nearby and wanted to see if we could find a new place. They just opened in September and so we decided to give this place a try this past weekend. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. It was a bit salty but the overall taste and quality was still 10/10. We will be coming back in the future.

Newly opened food truck back in Sept 2023, and figured I'd give it a try. Ordered take out paella (2 orders Lobster & 1 crab) and a spanish tortilla. Couple things to note: 1) You have to order a minimum of 2 portions of Lobster, but they'll give you at least 1 whole lobster. 2) Paella takes time, and so I definiittely recommend calling and ordering ahead of time. 3) Portions are really generous, so order accordingly. I think it's good value for price. Personally the paellas are on the saltier end for me though it works out as you can cut it with your own rice/other foods at home. Flavor is on point and seafood ratio is great. Definitely prepare something to hold the giant trays. Would also order again in the future. Hope this review helps!

We tried the beef and spinach empanadas which were both delicious. Mediterranean salad and chicken, very tasty, nice spices and grill on the chicken. Generous portions. Tasty fries too!! Owners were very friendly. Cute outdoor setup. Definitely stop by this food truck in South River! You’ll be happy that you did!!
