I went in for a 60 minutes full body massage. Their massage techniques use a lot of elbow tips and sharp thumb and knuckles. Overall it didn’t feel relaxing, I winced a lot and it feels more like they’re actually hurting the muscles - a lot of sharp pressure just for the sake of putting pressure and in areas that shouldn’t be pressed super hard. I noticed large bruises on my back, and the next day I had sore back muscles from the rough and sharp tears to my muscles. I also got less than 60 minutes, the lady rushed thru the massages too. I won’t be going back- there are a lot better massage parlors in the city.
Mary gave me the deepest deep tissue massage I’ve have had in years today. I had a lot of tension in my neck, shoulders and upper back caused by a pinched nerve. Mary beat me up pretty well to break all the knots. I already do stretches for my legs so they just feel as relaxed as ever! I’ll have to wait for the soreness to fade before I feel that relaxed in my neck, shoulders and upper back!
This place is AMAZING if you know what to expect. This is not a high-end spot with a posh environment. What you do get, is a great massage from women who work VERY hard. You have to be okay with things are a bit rough around the edges; here are some examples: I made a “reservation” online—it didn’t matter. They didn’t even know I had one, but they were able to take care of me. The rooms are separated by walls and curtains and you can still hear the other people in the space. They don’t speak much English, so specific questions can be challenging. They don’t ask what you want done, they go in with their normal routine (which was amazing). When they ask “medium or strong pressure” if you choose strong/hard, they mean it. Make sure to tell them if it’s too hard. The massages are cheap but eff
My daughter went for a massage. She told the massage therapist to be gentle. She was in pain with bruising afterwards for days. Horrible experience. Photo below
Rachel & Mary are WONDERFUL!!! Just needed a quick 30min back massage after a difficult workout over the weekend. This did the trick. Def worth it.
