Drybar - River Oaks

This was my first time going to drybar, and I requested the “mai tai”. The outcome was incredibly disappointing and very sloppy. The picture posted was taken less than 15 minutes after my appointment ended; it was not presentable for my day and the events I had to attend. My hair always holds curls/waves. My hair ended up having no clear waves, and I ultimately had to re-style my hair after paying $80+ for a complete mess of hair styling. I also paid extra for an add-on service to protect my hair from humidity, and it felt like that was not applied appropriately. I will not be returning.

I’ve been to Drybar many times and never had a bad experience — some visits have been better than others, but never bad. This was my first time at the River Oaks location, though, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. My appointment was at 7:15, but I wasn’t brought back until around 7:35. I understand that people can run behind, and that doesn’t usually bother me, but the front desk didn’t say a word or offer an apology. Both I and another guest were left waiting, feeling forgotten, which set the tone for the rest of the visit. The stylist was kind and friendly, so I don’t believe she did it intentionally, but she completely ruined my hair. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing first experience and will also be my last. The styling did not reflect what was discussed and felt uneven and unfinished. I left feeling frustrated rather than confident, which was disappointing given Drybar’s reputation. I reached out to the owner, Annie, and also called the storefront multiple times to address my concerns, but never received a response. While mistakes can happen, the lack of follow-up or accountability made the experience even more disappointing. Best blowout from DryBar River Oaks - I've had bad experiences at other DryBars, but wanted to give this one a try since it was close to my office and it was AMAZING! My hair was soft and bouncy and lasted for a week!

I have never experienced such horrible customer service and I frequent the dry bar. I was in Houston for an event so thought it would be nice to treat me and 2 other girls to a blow out. I made reversions for 3 of us. Their system added me but 3 guests which was incorrect. I tried correcting them immediately by email and phone as soon as I got confirmation of my reservation. When I checked in at the drybar they confirmed it was for 3 people total. When I went to go check out they told me my card was already charged, which I was told it would just be held on file. That was not the case. They charged me, but not for the correct amount, they charged me for a blowout of a person that was never in existence! I tried asking to speak to a manger and they said she would take care of it Monday. Mon
