Dosha Salon Spa West Linn

As a loyal customer of this salon, I am extremely disappointed. I have been seeing the same master stylist for 4+ years, and I have curly hair. For my latest cut, I told her I’d like to have bangs. I showed her 4 different reference photos (see attached) of women with curly bangs that went over the top of their eyebrows or past their eyebrow level. What I got were bangs multiple inches above my eyebrows, way up my forehead (see attached photo). My stylist made a mistake. Having cut my curly hair for many years, and at her master level, she should have known about inevitable shrinkage. I thought the bangs were very short as soon as she cut them, but decided to go home and let them fully dry before passing final judgement. It is really hard for me to find a hair stylist that I like. I lived in Los Angeles for six years and had the best stylist. I am very picky and specific. I was really fearful coming to Oregon that I would not be able to find one that was as good as what I was used to. After going to several salons and leaving, I finally landed and found my home at Dosha West Linn and more specifically with my hair stylist Olivia. Read on! I’ve been seeing Olivia for several years now and she continues to impress me. She’s very professional and attentive and her skill level is outstanding. I come in regularly for a color and cut and I’m always happy with the results—she consistently delivers what I’m hoping for. The Dosha Salon itself is a lovely, relaxing, and comfortable space, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. I always leave feeling well taken care of. The ordeal I went through recently was the worst experience with any business I've ever had. There is no respectful and responsive management available whatsoever, should an issue arise. They kept my money for 6 months without providing the product purchased and even ignored the Better Business Bureau's attempt to help me resolve the situation. I have now left Dosha as a loyal client of 15+ years and wanted to advise others. The process has been so frustrating and humiliating. I suffered from hair loss and decided to request hair extensions. I was advised that only one stylist at the Hawthorne location does them and it was required that I order hair through Dosha to ensure, "ethical sourcing" which was explained in a pretentious way. I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut by Jordyn Davis and she did not disappoint. She turned my very long hair into a cute little Bob and took the time to show me how I can easily style it every day. I'm also a introvert and feel awkward sometimes chatting about my life with someone I just met but Jordyn was super chill my awkwardness. 🤣 I will definitely be going back to her.
