Divine Appointments

I recently had an appointment for a silk press with Ms. Carolyn, and it was amazing! She was incredibly kind and respectful throughout my appt. I felt treated less like a paying customer and more like a family friend. I did not feel rushed, dismissed, or ignored and I was instead able to enjoy the pleasure of her conversation throughout my time. Scheduling with black hair salons is always touch and go, but I needed a last minute appointment and she was able to fit me in. She even helped me wrap my hair before I left as it had started snowing. I'd highly recommend divine appointments and Ms Carolyn!

If you're African American from another city and looking for someone to do your hair then, Ms. Carolyn is your best bet to go to in Anchorage. She does good hair. However, if you can find the patience to deal her lack of professionalism and unwillingness to get back in touch with you, then you're all set. I wish the education for African American hair and customer service was improved upon in this city.

I was passing through Anchorage and stopped in to see if they could fit me in. The women here welcomed me right in and I got a fantastic haircut. I will absolutely be back next time I'm in town!
