For those with curly hair looking for a stylist who will take the time and care I definitely recommend Peabo! This was my first time going to a new stylist and he did not disappoint. I was nervous going into it but that changed in the first few minutes even meeting him. The consultation was very thorough and detailed that I felt really good going into the appt. I felt really comfortable to voice my thoughts and he truly listens. I’ve learned so much about my hair in just a few hours, and he really made sure the information stuck with me which I’m grateful for. I will definitely be a returning client :) My hair looks absolutely amazing I’ve never seen it so defined and the shape is perfect. Peabo did that! and others in the salon were very nice too it was such a great experience I recommend

I’m a young Black male with 4b/4c curly hair, and I had a really disappointing — and honestly, racially uncomfortable — experience at this salon. I went in late June to get an Olaplex-style wash to help bring some life back into my hair. I already had blonde in it and explained that I wanted to refresh the color and possibly add a new tone. From the start, the stylist made excuses about why she couldn’t do what I asked. She said that because of my hair texture, she’d have to comb it out, blow it out, and straighten it in order to apply the color. But that’s a normal part of the coloring process for any hair type. Her reasoning didn’t make sense, and it felt clear that she simply didn’t want to work on Black hair. Her tone, body language, and overall energy were dismissive and uncomfortab

Autumn did a great job on my haircut. Really nice short cut with beautiful shaping. Plus she is friendly and fun to talk to. The salon is really pretty in a great location, and the reception people are polite and welcoming.

Went to get my son a buzzcut last Thursday and I was absolutely dumbfounded when the barber told me the total was 70$ for the haircut. It was the first time my son would be receiving a haircut at this salon and I have to say I am NOT impressed at all! We had to wait 15 minutes past the appointment time to get my son’s hair cut. The barber didn’t even apologize for our wait and clearly was rushing to cut my son’s hair to get to his next customer. I am incredibly displeased with this salon and I will never be back. I REPEAT I WILL NEVER BE BACK!!!

Horrible. Just horrible. I went here cause it’s right next door to campus and it was cheap.. until it wasn’t. I asked for bright blonde I got yellow. Stylist only focused on the top part of my hair when I asked to be blonde all over. She did not listen to my request. In addition, I’m soft scalped and the stylist used that harshest brush on my nice fragile blonde hair instead of a gentle brush. My hair actually looks so horrible and messed up I could cry. I had to go into get the yellow fixed and it just looks horrible she didn’t even fix the yellow. Don’t go here just go to a nice salon in Newbury.
