This was the worst manicure I’ve ever had. I’m not sure how this salon is rated above 4 stars. I did a nail removal and gel manicure that was supposed to take 1 hour and 15 minutes. Instead, it took over 2 and a half hours. I came in at 5:40 and wasn’t done until after 8:10, over an hour after they closed. During my manicure, my nail technician (I never got her name) wouldn’t stop talking, and she used her hands to talk, so she would stop working on my nails every time she made a comment. Just filing my nails took 30 minutes, and the shape was so inconsistent. She also over-filed, so it started to hurt my nail beds. The painting was just as bad. She made lots of small strokes instead of long thin ones, so the color came out looking blotchy. There are patches with thicker polish within the

The place is beautiful, but the service I received was not good at all. I am not at all satisfied with the result or the price I was charged. I asked for chrome nails with a little fire design, but they didn't know how to do it, so I asked for just chrome nails (because I was in a hurry to get to my appointment). In the end, this was the result (see photos). I didn't get what I wanted and was still charged for the manicure, nail art, and chrome color, for a total of $72!!!! It wasn't worth it... 😭 She also cut my finger, didn't remove the cuticle properly, and didn't clean and file around the nail properly... (my nails are 2 days old)

Cute place nestled downtown. I’ve been several times for Gel X and Builder Gel services. I’ve had a different technician each time and have been very pleased with the outcome. Great service all around- nail technicians are friendly and professional.

If you need nail art done, ask for Danielle! She is so talented! Danielle was also so careful and conscientious, double checking that I was happy with the art every step of the way, and gently reminding me to speak up if she sensed that I was uncomfortable or unhappy so she could adjust. She even noticed that the color I picked wasn’t quite the same as the reference photo, so she wiped off the polish she had applied and helped me find the right color. Also my nails have held up SUPER well even though I’m pretty rough on them. It’s been 2 weeks and they still look awesome.

I’ve been getting my nails done for over 20 years (Grew up with a wicked nail biting habit and getting my nails done really helped that). I love Cupcake! I take my 80-year-old dad and every 3 weeks - Pedicure for him and Bilder gel nails for me 😁 we also started using their waxing service and every 6 weeks I schedule him to get his nose, eyebrows and ears waxed, it’s seriously awesome. I’ve loved anyone I’ve had there, but Maria does my dad’s pedicures and she’s so patient and sweet. Lucy does my nails and she’s insanely talented! Sidenote - i’m allergic to acrylic and gel, my fingers totally blister and hurt if I use them 😣 But Bilder gel is awesome and I have zero reaction!
