One of the best hair braiding experiences I’ve had in a long time. I got boho knotless with synthetic base and human hair extensions for $200. I was a walk in on a weekday. She was extremely patient with me as I don’t know colors super well (I wanted a calico/highlighted look) and she didn’t judge me as we figure out the colors I wanted. She offered me water and checked in with me if I needed a break or fresh air. She also prepared and stretched the hair beforehand so we didn’t have to take breaks. The whole thing took maybe 4 hours with two women working at the same time. She even laid my edges in a cute curly style! I got so many compliments and can’t wait to come back because this is the first calming braiding experience I’ve had in a while!

The reviews brought me to Coumba and let me tell you she and her team did not miss. I have very short hair but it’s long enough to catch. They finished my hair in 3 1/2 hours. Coumba even asked me about the tension of the braids as she went along. I was provided with a very pleasant atmosphere and smiles. Plus, since leaving the store not one braid has fallen out. If I could give 10 stars I would! Don’t hesitate run and get your hair braided by Coumba and her team. Disclaimer: My hair is extremely curly and shrinkage is real so the picture doesn’t justify the length of my hair 🥴😩🤣

Love this braiding salon! The women inside are very kind and welcoming! The price is affordable and negotiable! I highly recommend 10/10. I also have a sensitive scalp and it wasn’t too painful, I could comfortably sit without twitching. Will definitely be back when I want braids again.

I originally planned to visit another salon, but to my surprise, it was closed. On my way back to the train station, I came across Coumba African Hair Braiding Salon and decided to step in out of curiosity to ask about their pricing. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted and attended to with such professionalism that I immediately decided to get my hair braided. The experience was fantastic. The service was efficient, and despite being extremely tender-headed, I had no discomfort at all. My hair looks and feels amazing, and the confidence boost it gave me is priceless. I’ll definitely be returning because they did an outstanding job. Thank you, ladies—exceptional work!
