Cosmo Prof

This is my favorite CosmoProf location in Utah County. I love the layout and they always have what I’m looking for. I would rate them a 5 on that alone, but a 1 in customer service. I went in today and there were no sales associates around. When they finally did appear, they didn’t acknowledge any of the patrons whatsoever. I wasn’t greeted or offered any sort of assistance. When I checked out, the associate didn’t say anything to me except told me my total. I used to come in quite frequently a few years back, and Lauren was always friendly and made the experience enjoyable. I’m not saying I need someone to be talking to me the whole time, but it would be nice to be greeted or offered assistance.

Customer service is pretty inconsistent. My daughter went in to exchange a broken bottle of nail polish (the lid was broken after we brought it home). The employee wouldn’t let her do an exchange without the card. She had the item and receipt. Totally ridiculous to send someone back home for such an easy fix.

I called to ask about a color being in stock which the girl replied they don’t have. So I asked for about 6 other colors in the line (Schwarzkopf) which he replied “no” to all of them. I was thinking it was weird they would be out of practically every color in the line so I went in: they had about 20 tubes of the original color I needed. The customer service needs to step it up at this store.

I went in and tried to purchase shellac colors and I wasn't aware that you had to be licensed to shop there. The lady at the cash register was really rude and made me feel really stupid. She asked me if I had my cosmo card on me and I replied no and then she asked if I had my hair license on me and I replied no and she said "then you can't shop here" in the rudest voice, she could of said it a lot nicer. I will tell all of my friends who are hair stylists not to shop there ever again.

Back in 2021 I gave this store a negative review, and I had plenty of reason at the time. However, my opinion has now changed drastically. Now the staff is kind, willing to help, friendly! The changes are noticeable and very refreshing. Thank you to the management and everyone who works there and contributes to the positive experience we have as patrons.
