Copacabana Beauty Center

I am a student who was able to get a free cut from Copacabana through them collaborating with my university's Gender & Sexuality Resource Center. I am so happy with my results! Nic was my stylist and she was amazing! I got a straight hair cut and asked for a sort of shaggy, alternative cut. I came in with photos and Nic helped me narrow down to a "punk rock" cut that I absolutely love. She listened to everything I asked for (curtain bangs, lots of layers and texture, low maintenance style) and delivered! She is a very silly and lovely person and made sure I was happy with my results. The other workers were very kind and the salon has a very warm atmosphere. So grateful for this experience!

I went for the Princeton event, and I loved my haircut and the salon overall. The service and people were great, and it was obvious that the stylists working on my hair cared a lot about making sure I liked it and explaining what they were doing as they did it (which I really appreciated). I have long hair, and they made sure I was extremely comfortable with the amount we were cutting and took my opinion at every step. The other stylists around us were also very fun and nice, and the atmosphere felt very comforting and warm :)

I got a Brazilian wax done by Mariana and she is amazing. She is extremely attentive to each of her clients and truly cares about the health of the skin, which many waxers disregard. She also takes care of ingrown hairs with no extra charge which I think is amazing. She will get you right for whatever you need, I cannot recommend her and Copacabana enough.

I’ve been seeing Mariana for almost 2 years and I don’t let anyone else touch my brows. I go to her for brow mapping, threading, and sometimes tints, and she has helped my brows grow and even out so much. She always gives me tips for problem areas and makes sure they’re perfect before I leave. On top of that, she’s so sweet and fun to talk to—every appointment is a treat! Thank you so much Mari!!

We started coming to see Lua in 2021 with my son because we heard she was the most gentle with little kids who are nervous about haircuts. This turned out to be very true. Next my husband started going, then me, then my daughter. Our whole family gets our haircuts and styling here because we love Lua and the team who always make us feel and look special. I also really appreciate the vibe at the salon which is always positive, warm and professional. I know I’m going to feel relaxed and happy when I come into this space, and I know the team cultivates that environment intentionally. We get great haircuts, but it’s actually more than haircuts. ♥️
