Such a cozy, warm salon across from Atwater Village Bakery. Joanne and Melissa, the owner, are talented stylists who provide great service. Always feels like an escape to spend time in their chairs. Parking is a breeze. Potted is just down the block. So grateful for this place.

Melissa, the owner of Comb & Honey, has been cutting and coloring my naturally curly hair for years now and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Not only is she incredibly talented, warm and professional, but she really takes the time to listen to her clients and creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Recommended Melissa Du Bois by a friend, I have had a very long mop of hair that was in need of a chopping. Melissa and I had a great discussion on what i wanted to achieve with the big change, and she absolutely nailed it. I honestly have never been happier with the outcome of a cut, and I've never gone in with an idea in my mind of what I wanted, and had the result not only be spot on, but work perfectly for my face and hair. I haven't had my hair this short in over a decade, so it was a big change and I'm absolutely thrilled.

Hair-stylist extraordinaire, Melissa McKenzie, has finally opened her own salon, and it is beautiful!! She's offering the private, boutique salon experience, so many of us want. I've had the great fortune to be Melissa's client for years, and since that time I've become known for having great hair. It's not hyperbole when I say I get stopped everyday by someone who wants to know where I get my hair done. I get several complement a day (even by other stylists) and it's all due to her talent. Not only that, she's also the sweetest person you'll meet. You'll definitely feel comfortable in her hands. I can't recommend her enough!!!

I have been going to Comb and Honey ever since my brilliant colorist, Kari S, started working there. It’s a cute, intimate little salon where you can get stellar cuts or color done. I’ve been seeing Kari ever since I moved to LA in 2018, first as a blonde, now as a bronde babe, and she even prepped and styled me for my wedding! She’s incredibly talented, and provides a nice balance of listening to what you want while also helping guide you to the best color for your skin tone, lifestyle, etc. Shes really focused on quality and getting things done right (instead of fast or conveniently). She’s a lovely gal to chat to, to boot!
