City Nails

NOT honest in their pricing!! I was a walk-in customer and was not familiar with their current prices. I asked how much a basic pedicure was, the lady at the front said it was $30. I had gel nails so when she saw that, she said for $10 more, I could get gel. I decided to get gel nails, with the understanding that my cost would be $40. The service was ok. My nails look fine. When I went to pay, they rang up the service as $50. Then, when I asked why the price increased, the lady that dis the service began to raise her voice, claiming that she told me it would be $50 when I came in. All a lie, of course. I gave her a tip as I always do when getting my nails done, but I will never go back there again. I can get better service at the same price at my regular nail place, which is a higher

One of the only nail shops in the area that opens at 8:00 a.m. I was in a rush and the doors were open and they were ready to go at 8am. Not the best but ask for Rose if you want close to it. I watched her interactions and work and she did my eyebrows. She's gentle and kind. The lady that did my feet was so rough and didn't ask me if I wanted my toenails trimmed. She just did it and it was way too low. I didn't like that they don't change out the table paper during waxing. It's a big plastic cover and looked very much worn/used. Ask for Rose though!!!

This was.my second time receiving a full set. Each time Rose did my nails. The pictures below...the white set is my 2nd full set and the pink was my first. Honestly I don't even have to write about if I like the finish product. You can see the pics and decide if you would be satisfied. The white set this is only 4 days after getting them done! Looks like I already need a fill in on some nails...and the shape is horrible!!! I put of pic of what I asked for amd you can clearly see what I got instead! The pink set you can clearly see the shape is off but before I noticed that I was please when I initially left. I went back to give it a second try and I'm just not satisfied. I will not be returning.

Honestly I can understand some of the reviews where people are less satisfied. That being said, I will say that I believe the ladies in this shop do their best. I’ve been in Raleigh two years now and this shop is one of my go-tos simply because the price is the best and the service. I’ve never experienced a long wait they are mindful of keeping on schedule with appointment times. I know I can go here for a great French tip or other simple designs. Pedicures are great!

First time coming in. There was no wait time. My daughter and I got full sets. The lady that did my nails had just came back from a smoke break. The smell was unbearable. She was way too rough with the nail drill..she literally pushed that thing to the max. I was terrified I would loose a finger. When she starting apply the momomer, my fingers felt they were on fire. It was a sensation I've never felt. Nail tech sprayed alcohol on my fingers and sensation went away. My daughter said the monomer also burned her fingers. It was horrible. My nails are thick and clumpy. I'm not happy at all... won't be coming back.
