Citrus County Chronicle

For quite some time I have read the Citrus County Florida Chronicle. In many cases I have enjoyed it and appreciated the information within. However, every time I have observed and reported an error in the paper no matter the topic or section, I never receive a reply or even a thank you for pointing it out. In most cases the error is never corrected. So much for quality and accuracy, or even a thank you. In the last week (09.14 - 21.25) I contacted the Editor Jim Gouvellis regarding issues with the sports department not replying to emails and not correcting my observations within the "On the Airwaves" section. I've been reading the Citrus County Chronicle for as long as I can remember, and it's always been a part of my daily routine. It's more than just a newspaper, it's a connection to my community. I really appreciate how they cover the stories that matter to everyday people here, not just the big headlines, but the little things that make our beautiful county feel like home. I’m grateful to have a local news source that still values the community it serves. The Citrus County Chronicle is a solid local media company that does a good job covering the news that matters to our community. Picked up bundles of overrun newspapers. Staff is great there, they even helped me load them.

So much more than our local newspaper. Easy to navigate website, app for your phone even on Roku. Citrus County Chronicle has more ways than ever to keep in the know.

The Citrus County Chronicle newspaper should reconsider not allowing non-subscribers from reading articles about local non-profits. i.e. Key Training Center Fashion Show fundraiser. Could only read the headline and then the Chronicle won't let you view unless you subscribe for the digital at about $7 a month. They would get a lot more subscribers if the online rate wasn't so high. They are making money on advertising so why charge potential subscribers so much? Doesn't help the advertisers, non-profits, local law enforcement and many, many more. PLEASE RECONSIDER BLOCKING ARTICLES OF IMPORTANCE TO OUR COMMUNITY!
