Center Barber Shop

Now Open on Sundays! This place is fabulous! Super clean and modern on the inside. The alternative cosmetologist and hair stylist, Faye, and barber Erik are extremely talented and exceptionally detail-oriented. I highly recommend it! ⚡

Faye (or Saye?) messed my hair up really bad. I asked for a low fade, small part line on right side, don’t touch sideburns, and square the back. She gave me a mid-high fade that heavily favors one side of my head, she didn’t do a part line at all, shortened one sideburn and made it very crooked, completely got rid of the other sideburn, and the back is rounded rather than squared. I had to pull my head away from her a couple times because she was cutting without looking while talking to a different customer or watching people walk by the window. She seems like a great person, but not so great hairstylist.

I normally cut my own hair and have gotten pretty good at it (low fade, skin tight), and because I cut my own hair I know a good fade when I see one. On occasion, I'll go out and get my hair cut because it's nice to treat yourself every once in awhile, especially before payday and a weekend! I work locally and decided to try Center Barber Shop in Princeton during lunchtime. Erik cut my hair and did an EXCELLENT job. I asked for a medium drop fade, skin tight, take a little bit off of the top and blend it. He took his time, was very detail oriented and just killed it... probably one of the best fades I've gotten from a barber in a long time. Very reasonably priced and would definitely come back again.

Under new ownership, this shop has new age features like online appointments combined with old school cuts and conversations. Ken is creative in hair styles and business management. Ken has completely transformed the look of the place with flooring, new chairs, cabinets, and wall decorations (see photos). It's not your grandfather's barbershop anymore.

Every single barber and salon in Princeton has been nothing but subpar, however center seems to be the exception. Eric gave me an amazing haircut today and I would highly recommend him and the shop. The prices are also fantastic for the amount of care and result you get.
