This is a hidden gem in the greater RVA area. Close to the heart of the city, but away from heavy traffic, this warehouse has been converted in a communication art studio. It is a collection of artists supporting, educating, and helping artists. If you are a local artist, I highly recommend inquiring about this place. I saw some amazing things. The artwork in the pictures was displayed on the street of Time Square in NYC. Several artists collaborated to make this a success.

It is the largest maker space in Richmond. It is well equipped with everything needed to make what I want(4x8 CNC router, 2 laser cutters, full wood shop, 3D printers, electronics lab and more). All of the staff, volunteers and other members seem friendly and happy to help when I have questions. It also is genuinely a nice place to just chill.

I went to an artist swap last Saturday. What an exciting concept. Entrepreneurs rent manufacturing space to test out their products. They also have classes there. They have metal shops, woodworking and fabric and others.

One of the jewels of RVA. A community-operated not for profit workspace where people with common interests, often in computers, machining, technology, science, digital art or electronic art, can meet, socialize and collaborate. If any of the following interest you: Developing creativity skills / Developing critical thinking and problem solving skills / Applying knowledge to practical problems / Collaborating with other students / Gaining confidence in your abilities - then what are you waiting for? Check it out!

What a GREAT place. Everything a maker would need - woodworking, metal, 3D printers, welding, CNCs, laser cutters, vinyl, sewing - lots of room to work, classes offered. Watch their FB site for open house and other info on classes and events. So glad I joined.
