Every time I come to Brown Sugar Braids, my experience is consistently positive. From my personal experience to the feedback I receive from people who see my hair, the response is always amazing. I’ve referred three people so far, and they’ve all had the same great experience I’ve had. It’s refreshing to walk into a place with high expectations and actually receive exactly that. I’ve even walked in last minute for a touch-up just minutes before my father’s birthday and still left very pleased. Another visit, I was tired of my usual freestyle box braids, and they created a cornrow style with individual braids in the back—since then, I’ve received even more compliments. I got some old school micro braids yesterday. The ladies did a great job. I rotated between Mommy & another lady. (Sorry forgot her name). My head doesn’t hurt. My only regret is not consulting with them beforehand. The hair I bought is a train wreck! It sheds horribly and is drenched in chemicals. I washed it the next day to get rid of the smell and it was black hair dye and immense shedding everywhere! However, this was no fault to the braiders. I brought the hair and they recommended other brands which I wish I would have known beforehand. A consultation would have saved lots of time & money. Im just expressing so nobody makes the same mistake. I would definitely go back. Great service!

First time.. they were nice, didn’t braid hard (thank God) fast and professional. They didn’t get width like I wanted (it was smaller than I wanted but still looked good. Many compliments I have received. I definitely recommend!! I will be coming back!

Please do not come here. I came here Sunday to get 4 feed in braids and the lady who does them was not there.Fine. I still showed them the picture and confirmed the price that I was given over the phone $55 she confirmed. I go today and call ahead of time and was told to wait 15 for the braided. She gets there and I show her the picture and it jumps to $85. I got it done at the west chase location and they charged me $70 with my own hair. So I ask about that and she states “do you wana go back over there” and I looked at her and said I came here wi h is 7mins from my house compared to a 30minute drive on the other side of town. The ignorance and tone is what turned me off. She then says let me call and make sure and 2 minutes later she said you can go back over there if that’s what they ch

I got scissor happy earlier this week and decided to basically cut all of my hair off (lol). I called them a couple of hours before closing because I DESPERATELY needed my hair done and they really went the extra mile to get me in last minute. I originally wanted 6 feed in braids, but had to do 8 because of my hair length. I really didn’t mind because the braider that serviced me had no issue braiding my short hair and I was SO thankful because a lot of places would’ve said no. There were also two other people in the salon getting their hair done and the braiders did an amazing job with them as well.
